Mission

To conduct special operations and other contingency operations in support to PAF mission

A professional, component and well-equipped unit for special operation

Functions

1. Organizes, trains and equips 710 th SPOW units for Special Operations, Combat Support and other Contingency Operations;
2. Conducts Special Operations;
3. Conducts Internal Security Operations (ISO) within its Area of Responsibility (AOR);
4. Coordinates Air Strike Operations;
5. Conducts K-9 Operations for Narcotics and Explosive Detection, EOD, CBRNE and Search/Rescue Operations;
6. Conducts HADR and other Contingency Operations; and
7. Performs other tasks as directed by Commander, ACC.
